First Things First…

So, this is it! My very first blog post! How exciting.. and intimidating. First impressions are important! You could see this and decide you don’t ever want to read what I write again! So, as I said, very important that I do well here. No pressure! Here goes…

This is the intro- the part where I’m supposed to tell you a little about myself, a little about my blog.

My name is Paige, I am a stay and home wife and mama. My husband is my best friend. We’ve been married for eight- but together for nine – long, short, crazy, wonderful years. We have two beautiful children: a seven year old daughter who’s silly, sweet and just a little bit sassy, as well as a one year old rambunctious toddler son, who’s just a little too brave.

We have a Springer Spaniel who stays underfoot and begs for treats and belly rubs.

Our little family owns a home in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains where we’ve lived our entire lives.

A blog is something I’ve had on my heart for a long time, and even created one several years ago. I made one post, shared it on my Facebook page, and never did anything else with it again! I have the annoying habit of getting really excited about something and then I sort of “fizzle out” and lose interest.  I do not want my blog to become one of those things until it’s run its course.

What I do not intend for this blog to become is one of your run-of-the-mill prosperity gospel sermonettes, or a politically correct corner to discuss hot button issues. This will not be a place I will speak of private issues or specifics about myself or our family. Unfortunately, the world is a cruel place and we must protect ourselves.

In school, my favorite subject was English and while everyone else would grumble about essay assignments, I looked forward to them. I like to talk (I know, shocker, right?) and I also enjoy reading as well as writing. This blog will be my outlet to do that! Instead of creating posts to social media that could be mistaken for a short story, I’ll post them here.

I’ve always said that I didn’t mind a person that talked a lot so long as they have something to say. I hope you feel that way about me.

This is a Christian blog, it’s a mom blog, a crating blog, a food blog, maybe even a product review blog. I’m not highly educated or an expert on anything in particular, but I do hope that what I have to say is informative and relatable.

So please, sit back and take a moment here. Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion and personal experience. This is (hopefully!) going to be both a fun and safe space!
